I just downloaded Presto, a linux operating system.
It's pretty basic, but boots in like 10-20 seconds.
You can download apps for it to make it prettier or whatever. And to get to any of the nitty-gritty stuff you have to really look around. But once you get it to where you want I think it could be pretty good. I've tried Ubuntu, but it didn't like my wireless driver. This however, found my wireless driver and works nicely. It's a small download and install, and you can install it from windows. In fact, this thing is meant to be more "windows friendly". You can quickly access your windows user folder right from the File Explorer thing, as well as quickly access your windows (C:) drive itself. I just got it and installed it today, so I haven't had time to mess with everything yet, but it seems pretty promising.
And you can easily uninstall it if you don't like it. It's a quick install, and all's you have to do is boot your computer and it's right there under windows in the os selection menu.
Try it out and tell me what you think.
