reference suggestions :o)

ok so im new to this site and came across it while reseaching topics for my paper..im writing a research paper for my modern art-art history class, and was wondering if anyone had any reference suggestions...my paper is about the colory theory in regards to-Eugene Chevreul's theory in color..as well as impressionists inspired from it, such as Claude Monet, Georges Seurat, Edouard Manet, and Pierre-Auguste Renoir..of course ive got a couple of-somewhat-legit sites (excluding wikipedia) and a few okay books, but im running into a lot of tacky and questionable sites..so im open into any suggestions!! thanks! =]
